Making my Dreams into a Reality

There are things i’ve always wanted to be, do or have in life. I am just a human being desiring for something that I really want in finding the real happiness.  Own a modern Mediterranean house, a luxury car, beach resort, restaurant and a boutique. A long vacation in Paris, France and Rio de Jainero, Brazil, have a successful career, become a registered pharmacist, and help unfortunate people. Soon, i'll have all of these. We all got dreams, and dreaming is for free. So what's for small dreams, why not the BIG one? I personally aiming for big dreams because i want myself to reach a level of greatness. I don't want that someday i fail to reach the success of life. I don't want to be left behind seeing somebody who is enjoying his fruitful life while myself is loosing a hope in achieving my desires. I want to make an action and start pursuing  my dreams to make it real.

I live in this world almost 20 years, it's quite a long journey in life. But, i'm not still contented. I desire for more experience, learn new things, meet new people, travel many places, and many more. I live my life passionately, and i'm enjoying it since God gave me this life and it is so precious to me. i'm following my purpose, my heart’s desires – there is nothing more fun in life! To me, that’s the whole point of life – to do things you love to do every day, to honour the whispers of my heart and soul, to acknowledge  my dreams.

Live, Love , Laugh

I don't like to live in a pessimistic world. Full of doubts, insecurities, fear and negative thoughts in mind. Dreams will just unacknowledged, left to atrophy in a dim and distant past.  Well, they certainly won’t come true if there's no trying. 2 things will happen if i will going to try it– one,  my dream has a CHANCE of becoming reality. And two, my life will get better whether it does or not.

I need some guide and steps for  my every dream will be transformed from a vision to reality. I read some articles and i found this steps inspiring. By abiding these and keep progressing will turn my dreams into real one.

Step 1. Develop A Clear Sense of Vision

This is the foundation of making your dream become a reality.
The skyscrapers you see around your city don’t get made with a snap of the finger. No, my friend. It takes years to build the foundation. The foundation is what you don’t see. It’s the structure that is underground that gives rise to these buildings. If there was no foundation apparent the buildings would simply not stand upright yet alone leap out into the sky. The foundation is therefore the most important part, although it is underground and cannot be observed. The same goes for your dreams. Your vision is the most important thing. It directs you in the direction of your dream and makes it possible to be king of the world. Your vision of your dream should be something like a mental creation in your mind. Like a movie. Play in your mind how great life is going to be once you have accomplished your dream. What are you going to be doing? How are you going to look? How is your day going to be? Walk yourself through this.

Create your vision because it is only with the end in mind that we can achieve our dreams. If we don’t know what it is we are seeking then its like running a race with no finish line. Develop that vision. To better fuel your gauges you can recount this vision on a daily, maybe even twice a day. Once in the morning before leaping out of bed and then before going to sleep. But remember, you need this foundation. Don’t think that you can skip this step. Don’t be that building that tips over and crumbles to a million pieces because it was lacking a foundation.
Step 2. Develop An Action Plan

Another important step. Without this, all you got is a dream, but by committing to an action plan of how you are going to make your dream become a reality you ultimately double your chances of achieving that dream. Most people in life will never  make it to this step that is the reason why they die without having lived out their dream. They get sucked up in the first step and don’t have enough balls to proceed to step 2. There scared shitless. Being scared is fine, but as psychologist have proven what we are afraid of is usually nothing to be scared about. They have a term in psychology that is called social construction which explains how our reality is our own mental creation. Hence, our fears and such don’t really serve no weight in all actuality. Therefore it is a must that you commit to this step. Make sure you keep progressing.
Step 3: Follow Through

This is the step in which we see who wants it the most. This is where winners are crowned and losers are defeated. This is where you have to work your ass off and make your dream become a reality. This is when you have to follow your action plan and make that dream come to life. The foundation has been set and the call to action has been established, the only thing left now is for you to go out and prove how bad you want to make your dream become a reality. Work like you’ve never worked before. Live like a new you. Reach that dreams and leave a legacy so when you die you’ll be one of those ‘lucky ones’ who got the chance to live out their dream.

So let your heart and soul speak. What is your big dream also? Plan then Do it!

December 23, 2011. Roadhouse Cafe Bukidnon get away!

That day was free and rest day, i don't have my duty in hospital pharmacy. I was very thankful to our preceptor Sir Rodel because he had a surprised visit to us. He decided to pull out us the interns during our duty time. But, before his second visit,he already made a promise that he will introduce and bring us in Roadhouse cafe, Valencia, Bukidnon. Yes! he made it.
We left the imee's lodge at 1:00 pm and went to Roadhouse cafe through riding a "motorela".  It's a unique term of transportation in Bukidnon, a wide 10-sitter tricycle. It was relatively far so we paid 15 pesos each from the imee's lodge going to Roadhouse cafe.
Motorela of Bukidnon

Finally, upon entering the Roadhouse coffee, i was amused of the ambiance of western and  European architecture of the restaurant. The place was quite small but enough to accommodate the customers. It was my first time, so i had my first impression that the owner of the restaurant is a European. Suddenly, i became worried about the prices of the dishes that it might be too expensive, since i only have 400 pesos in my wallet. But, it was a relief that i was with my 12 co-interns to have a late lunch there. i can borrow to them an extra money, in case. LOL. The waiters and staff were very accommodating. They find us seats and tables which are more comfortable for us.

Took a photo shot while waiting the orders. SMILE!

Our preceptor was the boss, so he chose the right dishes for us. He ordered 4 different kinds of dishes that all really looks delicious. The dishes were served after 20 minutes. Not too long for waiting. My mouth started to drool, and had a big excitement to eat the super inviting and delicious-looking food. Before i grabbed the foods i was curious on the names of the dishes, so i asked our preceptor. The beef with corn at the side was a sizzling pochero or sizzling bulalo beef, mixed vegetables poured in a bowl-like fried lumpia, chopsuey and sweet and spicy chicken. The rice was served separately. Their sizzling pochero really tastes good especially its sauce is really mouth-watery and the meat was tender and sweet. It's the best pochero i've ever tasted. It is good for 3 to 4 person and cost 500 pesos per serving. The mixed vegetables consist of different vegetables-a chopsuey-style but it is little bit dry where placed on a bowl-like fried lumpia that can also be eaten. It was garnished with cabbage and carrots at the side. The sweet and spicy chicken was awesome because i really love spicy food and surrounded with cheese- double yummy!
It was a sumptuous and mouth-watering foods. Even though the ambiance was in westernized style but their foods are truly in pinoy food taste and originated in Bukidnon. I really enjoyed the meal.  The cost was not really too expensive. I only paid 233 pesos. the place was decorated well, It's like we are in a western world and it's clean as well.

The roadhouse Cafe Valencia, Bukidnon, Mindanao along Sayre highway is the main branch. It has also a second branch in SM Cagayan De Oro, two and a half hours away from Valencia. The third branch is in SM Cit Davao Ecoland infront of National bookstore. The foods were awesome and the service was good. Try to indulge the modern cuisine in Roadhouse cafe.

Food that I'm Craving for.....

Green Mango with bagoong (shrimp paste)

After our lunch time or during break, i used to snack  a green mango in front of our school  . My mouth started to drool when i saw someone eating green mango. This is how i am so addicted to mangoes, always craving for this kind of mouth-watering food. I'm fond of eating sour food coupled with salty taste like GREEN MANGO with BAGOONG (shrimp paste). But i only eat bagoong alamang if it it is sautéed with garlic and onion because it enhances the taste. I am not used to eat premade bagoong because it contain preservatives which it was stored for a long period of time. So,  i prefer to cook it so as to ensure it is safe and delicious to eat. I'm just so unlucky that i am allergic to shrimps, so it's a big NO to tolerate myself eating bagoong. Well, "masarap ang bawal eh". it's like giving up my health for pleasure. It's ok, not to worry on it because i always limit myself eating allergic foods especially bagoong. Really, Bagoong is just so delicious to pair with green mango that i can't RESIST!.

Here's the recipe on how to saute Bagoong alamang to produce good quality in color and taste.

Ingredients:
1/4 kilogram alamang, minute shrimp paste
1/4 kilogram pork, cut into small cubes
1 piece medium sized onion, sliced
3 tomatoes, sliced
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tablespoon sugar
Procedure:
1. Saute the onion, garlic, tomatoes and pork until the meat is golden brown.
2. Add minute shrimp paste and saute for another 15 minutes. Add sugar to counteract saltiness.
3. Siling labuyo or chilli powder can be added if desired. I love chilli taste.

Fitness Ball: an exercise tool for WEIGHT LOSS

Remember how much fun it was to play with a ball when you were a child? A simple sphere was an endless source of inspiration and activity. And it still is. Using an exercise ball can be a challenging way to add variety and fun to your workout.

The fitness ball is also a great tool you can use during stretching. it helps you get in and out o a stretch with less effort and helps you hit those hard to stretch areas as well. stretching helps restore or improve stability.

This is probably the best part about using a fitness ball. When you’re having fun doing a routine, it takes out the perception of “working” while training.
Choosingt a fitness ball
